Young Artists Competition
Sponsored by the Las Vegas Flute Club
Held in the spring, the LVFC Young Artist Competition is open to students ages 9-15 (Junior) and 16-21 (Senior). Students perform one required work and one additional piece of their choosing. Memorization is optional. This is a scholarship competition with cash prizes awarded to the first and second place winners of each category.

Sponsored by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra
Students audition a concerto of their choice (memorized) in the fall for the chance to perform a concerto with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra the following spring.
The winners of this audition then play on a special 'Young Artists Concert' in the beautiful Henderson Pavilion.
Cox Communications Young Artists' Concerto Competition
Las Vegas Philharmonic
The Cox Communications Young Artists’ Concerto Competition recognizes emerging talent in the area of music performance. The competition is open to all Nevada students up to grade 12. Students compete in the spring, playing a concerto (memorized) from the approved list as published on the Las Vegas Philharmonic website. Winners perform with the Philharmonic the following year.
